On Thursday, October 22, the Graduate School of Public Administration of The Catholic University of Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Songpa-gu Council in the 2nd Conference Room of the Songpa-gu Council for the development of local autonomy and local councils. 

This agreement was established to activate joint research and academic exchange between the two institutions and to strengthen the expertise and legislative/council activity competencies of Songpa-gu Council members and secretariat staff. The signing ceremony was attended by key officials from both institutions, including Hyun-ki Shin, Dean of the Graduate School of Public Administration, Sun-young Pyo, Chair of the Graduate School of Public Administration Major Program, and Byung-hwa Son, Chairman of the Songpa-gu Council. 

Under the agreement, the two institutions agreed to cooperate in various fields, including: △ joint research and academic exchange in the fields of policy, legislation, social welfare, and urban planning for the development of local autonomy and local councils △ cooperation on educational programs to strengthen the competencies of council members and secretariat staff △ tuition scholarship support for candidates recommended by the council △ joint hosting of seminars, policy forums, and workshops. 

Taking this agreement as an opportunity, both institutions plan to strengthen cooperation in education and research, continuing exchanges for the development of local autonomy and local councils.
