On September 23, the university welcomed a delegation led by Park Jae-wan, Commissioner of the Incheon Immigration Office, to discuss cooperative measures aimed at ensuring stable residency, local community settlement, and employment opportunities for international students.

The visit was arranged in conjunction with the Incheon Immigration Office’s "Mobile Immigration Service" at the university, designed to assist new international students—enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs as well as the Korean Language Institute for the second semester of the 2026 academic year—with their alien registration.

Commissioner Park and his delegation met with President Choi Jun-kyu to discuss ways to support international students and facilitate their employment with local companies.

Notably, the university, the Incheon Immigration Office, and the Bucheon Chamber of Commerce agreed to explore ways to expand employment opportunities by connecting international students with local businesses. They also exchanged views on expanding exchange programs to enable international students to participate in various activities as members of the local community.

Plans are also in place to continue community engagement, with international students scheduled to participate in the "13th Incheon Hanmaum Walking Festival" this coming October.

President Choi Jun-kyu stated, "Through close cooperation with immigration authorities, local governments, and regional businesses, we will establish a practical collaborative system that encompasses the entire process—from attracting international talent and providing education to facilitating employment and long-term settlement."
