To relieve the financial burden of student loan interest for university students, Yangsan City is implementing the 2026 University Student Student Loan Interest Support program. Eligible students are encouraged to apply within the deadline.

Eligibility

• Currently enrolled students (including students on leave of absence) who have taken out student loans through the Korea Student Aid Foundation (KOSAF).

• Individuals who—or whose parents—have been registered residents of Yangsan City for at least 1 year prior to the application date.

Application Period: September 14, 2026 (Mon) – October 23, 2026 (Fri)

Support Details

• Cover for interest accrued on KOSAF student loans during the second half of 2025 and the first half of 2026.

• Upon verification of eligibility, funds will be transferred directly to the student's KOSAF loan repayment account (Scheduled for December 2026; funds will NOT be deposited into personal bank accounts).
