61 Professors from The Catholic University of Korea Named Among the World’s Top 2% Researchers

The Catholic University of Korea (President Choi Joon-Kyu) has been recognized for its world-class research excellence, with 61 of its researchers listed among the “World’s Top 2% Scientists 2025,” published by global academic publisher Elsevier and Stanford University in the United States.
Elsevier and Stanford University annually evaluate the research impact of scientists across 22 major scientific fields and 174 subfields worldwide who have published at least five papers. Based on citation metrics from the SCOPUS database, they identify the top 2% of researchers globally in terms of citation impact.
This year, a total of 61 researchers from The Catholic University of Korea were selected, including those recognized in both categories — career-long impact and single-year impact (2024) — according to the 2024 faculty list.
Under the career-long impact category, 22 researchers were listed, including:
