The upcycled waste banner exhibition "Re: Fairy Tale – A New Story for Abandoned Things," co-hosted by the Lifelong Education Center Operation Team and the Department of Clothing & Textiles’ student group M.O.D at our university, was held from September 1 to 3 in the lobby on the 1st floor of Kim Sou-hwan Hall. 

This exhibition showcased the outcomes of the "CUK Re: Make Campus" project, which was conducted as part of the "2026 Gyeonggi-do Resource Circulation Village Creation" initiative. It conveyed the value of resource circulation by transforming waste banners discarded across our university campus into new works of art.

"Re: Fairy Tale" carries the meaning of breathing new life into discarded banners to retell "fairy tales" in a fresh way. A total of 10 works were presented, with students creatively utilizing the various colors, texts, and images remaining on the banners to reinterpret fairy tales from their own unique perspectives.

This exhibition served as a meaningful opportunity to share the significance of resource circulation and upcycling, demonstrating the process by which resources destined to be discarded are transformed into new creations through students' ideas and craftsmanship.
