Students from the university’s planning club 'Hoek' won the Top Excellence Prize at the "2026 Korean Management Consulting Association Spring Conference College Student Competition" held at Baekseok University.

The award-winning team consisted of Ko Ho-young (Department of Psychology), Lee Seung-chul (Department of Spatial Design and Consumer Studies), Chae Si-eun (Department of Business Administration), and Lee Sang-yoon and Yang Yu-jin (Department of English Language and Literature). They delivered a presentation under the theme of "Establishing a Sustainable Business Model for Aquaculture Based on AX (AI Transformation)."

The students analyzed problems facing the domestic aquaculture industry, such as △increasing mortality rates △environmental pollution, and △supply chain instability. They received high evaluations for proposing an aquaculture system utilizing AI technology, demand forecasting-based data management, and financial/insurance linkage plans.

Ko Ho-young, who served as the team leader, said, "Injecting AX technology into a traditional industry was challenging, but by fusing the diverse major knowledge of our team members, we were able to complete a feasible business model."

Professor Sung Jae-yeol of the Department of Business Administration, who advised the students, expressed, "It is a result of the students' convergent thinking skills shining through by sharply applying trendy technology to industrial issues," adding, "We will continue to expand practical, field-oriented educational opportunities where universities and industries can grow together."
