Spatial Design & Consumer Studies, Korean Society for Indoor Design Wins Outstanding Presentation Award at 2026 Spring Academic Present

The student team of Ko Gun and Park Kyung-joon of the Department of Space Design and Consumer Affairs (supervisor Kim Na-yeon) was honored with the Excellence Presentation Award at the undergraduate session of the Korea Indoor Design Association (KIID) "2026 Spring Conference" held at Chung-Ang University.

At the conference, which was organized under the theme of "Space Reprogramming: The Value of Sharing and Win-Win," Ko Gun and Park Kyung-joon's student team drew great attention by announcing the "NEURO-ADAPTIVE AI MOTION: Vision Transformer-based Emotional Responsive Workplace Plan for Single-Founder."
They proposed a customized work space that combines AI technology and spatial design, and were highly praised for implementing an adaptive space using emotion recognition technology based on Vision Transformer (ViT), an image recognition AI model.
Students Ko Gun and Park Kyung-joon said, "I am happy to receive good reviews for proposing a new user experience through the convergence of space and technology," adding, "We will continue creative research and projects that combine spatial design and AI technology in the future."
