The Catholic University of Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Bucheon University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on May 27 at Michael Hall (Faculty)(T) T108 to strengthen international exchange and educational cooperation.

The signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from The Catholic University of Korea, including President Choi Jun-gyu and Vice President for Academic Affairs Lee Sang-gyun. Representing Bucheon University in Tashkent were President SHIN AGRIPPINA VASILEVNA, Director of International Exchange and External Cooperation TYO INNA OLEGOVNA, and other senior university officials.

Prior to the signing ceremony, representatives from both universities discussed ways to expand international exchange and strengthen collaborative initiatives. Following these discussions, the two institutions formally signed the Memorandum of Understanding and agreed to establish a foundation for cooperation in the fields of education and research.

Through this agreement, the two universities plan to collaborate in a wide range of areas, including the expansion of academic mobility for undergraduate, graduate, and short-term program students; the development of joint educational programs and dual-degree or articulated degree pathways; the implementation of collaborative research projects; the hosting of international academic events; and the exchange of academic resources and information.

The Catholic University of Korea plans to use this agreement as an opportunity to further expand its global network for education, research collaboration, and international exchange.
