CUK Hosts ‘The Catholic University of Korea DAY’ with Kiwoom Heroes

“Together with Kiwoom Heroes, Raising the Cheers of CUK!”

On the 8th, The Catholic University of Korea held ‘The Catholic University of Korea DAY’ event at the Gocheok Sky Dome in collaboration with the Kiwoom Heroes.

This event was organized as part of ‘Heroes in Campus,’ a program where the Kiwoom Heroes and members of The Catholic University of Korea come together.


To cheer for the Kiwoom Heroes game that day, approximately 150 students participated, sharing special memories of escaping daily life and cheering together.


The ceremonial first swing was taken by President Jun-gi Choi, the first pitch by Student Council President Se-won Kim, and the ceremonial catch by Vice Student Council President Hyuk-jun Kwon. The three individuals added meaning to the event by stepping onto the field to wish for a Kiwoom Heroes victory.


Before the start of the game, students from the Department of Music at The Catholic University of Korea stood on the field and sang the national anthem, making the atmosphere of the stadium even more significant.


Following this, the CUK Cheerleading Squad ‘Hwarang’ showcased an energetic performance on the field, raising the heat of the scene.

Furthermore, during the cleaning time after the bottom of the 5th inning, they performed once again at the cheering stands, providing joy to the spectators.

During the game, the university provided small pleasures to the audience through various inning events where school souvenirs were presented.

Student Council President Se-won Kim said, “I would like to thank the Kiwoom Heroes club for providing a meaningful place where members of The Catholic University of Korea can gather in one place to cheer and enjoy together,” and added, “I will continue to make efforts so that students can share various experiences and feel a sense of belonging both inside and outside the campus.”
