Catholic University held "2026 New Student Competency Reinforcement Workshop" for new students majoring in humanities, social studies and natural engineering. Humanities and social sciences operated from April 3 (Friday) and natural engineering from March 27 (Friday) to 28 (Saturday).

The workshop was designed to enhance the understanding of majors and strengthen career exploration capabilities through field trips and experience activities suitable for the characteristics of each major.

Freshmen in the humanities and social sciences visited Simon's Terrace and the Radlabi Art Museum in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do, to see brand spaces and exhibitions, and later experienced the planning method of cultural and artistic contents through the "Dawent Tour."

Freshmen in the natural engineering field visited △ Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute △ National Institute of Suri Science △ Geological Museum △ Citizens' Astronomical Observatory in Daedeok Research Complex in Daejeon to explore cutting-edge science and technology research sites and have time to experience various research fields.

In addition, participants directly checked how their majors were used in actual industries and research sites through each program, and gained field-oriented learning experiences.

The head of the undergraduate university said, "Through this workshop, we expect to improve the understanding of new students' majors and provide practical help in adapting to college life and career design by running experiential programs that reflect the characteristics of each department."
