2026 OMNIS Undergraduate College Song Festival

On March 26, the "2026 OMNIS Undergraduate College Song Festival" was held at Hall 1855 in the Student Future Talent Hall. The event was a resounding success, with a total of 221 participants, including faculty, students, and staff.


The name "OMNIS," which means "everyone" or "everything" in Latin, reflects the festival's inclusive spirit. Organized by the Undergraduate College, the stage was open to all freshmen from the School of Liberal Arts, the Division of Humanities & Social Sciences, and the Division of Natural Sciences & Engineering. Participants showcased their diverse talents in various genres, including singing, dancing, rapping, and instrumental performances.


The event featured:

  • Introduction of the judging panel

  • Performances by the participating teams

  • A celebratory guest performance by the busking club "The Busking"

  • Announcement of results and the award ceremony

Throughout the performances, the audience filled the seats, enthusiastically cheering for the contestants with glowing bracelets and loud applause. Hall 1855 was vibrant with energy and passion as 17 students across 12 teams (7 solo acts and 5 group acts) competed for the top spots.

Winners of the 2026 OMNIS Festival

[Solo Category]

  • 1st Place: Hyeok-jun Son (Division of Humanities & Social Sciences, Class of '26) – A unique fusion of rap and violin with "Love Yourself."

  • 2nd Place: Ye-dam Kim – "Oort Cloud" (오르트구름)

  • 3rd Place: Tae-jun Ko – "This is the Moment" (지금 이 순간)

[Group Category]

  • 1st Place: Ha-gyeong Cha & Hyo-beom Choi – "Yeouya" (여우야)

  • 2nd Place: Do-yun Kim & Seok-jin Ham – "Search"

  • 3rd Place: Jin-woo Jeong & Hong-jun Choi – "Bom Bom Bom" (봄봄봄) with a guitar performance.

Eun-ju Tae (Dept. of Media Technology & Content, Class of '25), who attended the festival, shared her thoughts: "Every performance was deeply impressive and full of passion. It was wonderful to see the diverse talents of the freshmen and enjoy the festive atmosphere together."
