On Tuesday, March 24, Bishop Peter Kang U-il, the first president of the integrated Catholic University of Korea (CUK), visited the campus. The visit was arranged as an opportunity for him to tour the campus and communicate with the university members.

Upon his arrival, Bishop Kang was welcomed by the executive committee members in the President’s Office for a friendly conversation. Following a luncheon, he took part in a campus tour, starting at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Chapel and visiting key facilities including Paul Hall (바오로관), Michael Hall (미카엘관), and the Central Library.

During the tour, Bishop Kang meticulously observed the transformed campus and the enhanced educational environment provided for the students.

This visit by our first president served as a precious opportunity to reflect on the roots and founding spirit of our university, providing great encouragement and inspiration to all members of the CUK community.
