On Friday the 20th, the Catholic University of Korea (CUK) welcomed the leadership team from La Salle Campus Barcelona - URL (Spain) to discuss friendship and future cooperation. President Josep M. Santos and his delegation of three reaffirmed the shared educational values of both institutions, rooted in Catholic principles, and pledged to strengthen their partnership.

Following the meeting, the two universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at internationalizing higher education and bolstering academic exchange.

• Under this agreement, the institutions will move forward with various academic programs, including:

• Faculty and student exchange programs

• Joint research initiatives

• Operation of short-term educational programs

• Co-hosting of academic conferences

During the working-level meeting, both parties held in-depth discussions on exchange strategies for core departments. 

These include Business Administration and Philosophy, as well as high-tech fields such as Computer Information Engineering, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Data Science. Both universities agreed to share human and material resources in future technology sectors to foster global talent.

The Catholic University of Korea expects this agreement with La Salle Campus Barcelona to serve as a vital stepping stone in expanding its network with European universities and providing students with broader global educational opportunities.
