The University held its ‘2026 Spring Commencement Ceremony’ at the Concert Hall on Thursday the 19th, celebrating the new beginnings of its graduates.

The ceremony was attended by President Choi Jun-kyu, Bucheon Mayor Cho Yong-ik, and other distinguished guests, who offered messages of congratulations and encouragement to the graduates embarking on their new journeys.

Awards for Academic Excellence

The ceremony also featured an awards presentation for outstanding graduates:

• President’s Award: Kwon Hyuk-yu (Dept. of Biomedical Sciences), the top graduate of the Sacred Heart Campus.

• Department Honors: Jung Min-hwan (Dept. of Biotechnology) and 36 others.

• Academic Excellence Awards: Gil Jun-young (Dept. of Biomedical Sciences) and 230 others.

President’s Message

In his address, President Choi Jun-kyu stated:

"Graduation is not an end, but a new beginning toward a wider world. I hope the skills for problem identification and resolution you cultivated at the Catholic University of Korea will serve as assets that sustain you through any changes or challenges. I look forward to seeing you spread a positive influence on the world from your respective positions."

Post-Ceremony Celebrations

Following the event, the campus was filled with scenes of joy as graduates tossed their mortarboards into the air and took commemorative photos with their families and peers.
