The Catholic University of Korea successfully concluded its ‘Regular Admissions Counseling Team’ program for high school students and parents ahead of the 2026 regular admissions cycle.

The counseling sessions ran from Monday, December 22, 2025, to Wednesday, December 31, 2025, with a total of 163 examinees and parents participating. A key feature was the use of telephone counseling, enabling consultations without geographical or spatial constraints.

The counseling provided an overview of The Catholic University of Korea's 2025 admissions results and the 2026 admissions process as a whole. It also offered personalized counseling that comprehensively considered each student's grades, circumstances, and desired career path.

One student who participated shared, “Comparing last year's admission results with my CSAT scores helped gauge my chances of admission, and the realistic application strategy provided was very helpful.” A parent commented, “Receiving broad counseling—from dual majors, transfers, and the non-major recruitment system to tuition and dormitories—was beneficial.”

The Catholic University of Korea recorded an average competition ratio of 5.63 to 1 for its 2026 academic year regular admissions, with 3,705 applicants vying for 658 spots. This represents an increase in both competition ratio and applicant numbers compared to the previous year, with particularly high competition observed for the undeclared major recruitment units and departments related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
