End-of-Semester Faculty Meeting for Fall 2025

The end-of-semester faculty meeting for Fall 2025 was held on Friday, December 19, at 4:00 PM in the Conference Room of Kim Sou-hwan Hall(K). The meeting proceeded in the following order: ▲Opening and Opening Prayer ▲Retirement Ceremony for Faculty Members Retiring at the End of February 2026 ▲Outstanding Teaching Awards ▲Presentation of the ‘2025 World's Top 2% Researchers’ Award ▲Remarks by the President ▲Departmental Reports.

The retiring faculty members were ▲Professor Chae Jin-seok from the Department of Media Technology & Media Contents ▲Professor Park Young-seok from the Department of Psychology. Interview videos of the professors were screened, and President Choi Jun-kyu presented certificates of appreciation and bouquets to express gratitude.
Next, the Outstanding Teaching Award ceremony took place, with Professor Lee Hong-min from the Department of Law receiving the award.

Following this, the ‘2025 World Top 2% Researchers’ awards ceremony was held. This award is jointly announced annually by global academic publisher Elsevier and Stanford University in the United States.
The ‘World's Top 2% Researchers’ selection evaluates research impact based on citation metrics from SCOPUS, assessing lifetime achievements and annual criteria. Our university earned the honor of having a total of 61 researchers (including the College of Medicine) selected.

President Jun-Kyoo Choi then shared insights on the university's VISION 2040, outlining the direction the university should pursue.

Finally, a session for presenting key issues by each department and a Q&A session were held, concluding with a viewing of a video message of gratitude from the students.
