Department of Spatial Design and Consumer Studies Wins Bucheon Architecture Culture Festival Awards

Students from the Department of Spatial Design and Consumer Studies at our university participated in the ‘2025 4th Bucheon Architecture Culture Festival,’ exhibiting a total of 29 works and winning the Grand Prize, Gold Prize, Silver Prize, Bronze Prize, Design Award, and Association Award.

The Bucheon Architecture Culture Festival, a comprehensive cultural event held at the Bucheon Museum of Comics from December 4 to 7, 2025, featured participation from the Bucheon Regional Architectural Society and four local universities. This cultural event aimed to widely promote urban architecture and spatial culture while providing a platform for communication between citizens and experts. It shared achievements in public architecture, exhibited works by the local architectural society, and encompassed student design projects, spatial culture, and diverse discourses related to architecture.

The Department of Spatial Design and Consumer Studies at our university exhibited a total of 29 works from courses including Comprehensive Design, Urban Regeneration Capstone Design, Housing Design, Interior Design Studio, and Visual Merchandising. It also showcased the Grand Prize winner from the Interior Design Society's main competition, the top prize from the Universal Design International Competition, and the Grand Prize winner from the Lifestyle Culture Design Competition, demonstrating its high level of capability.

At this exhibition, the work ‘Cloud’ by students Kim Do-ha, Jo Won-hee, Lee Eun-gyo, and Kim Yoon-joo won the Grand Prize, while the work ‘Soundtrack’ by students Kim Min-seo, Park Han-gyeol, Park Hyun-jung, and Lee Min-ji won the Gold Prize. The ‘Ahyeon Road’ project by students Kim Chan-woo, Kwon Seon-kyung, Lee Seo-hyun, Kim Yoon-joo, and Park Sa-rang received the Silver Prize, while the ‘urban incubator’ project by students Kim Na-yoon, Kim Pyeong-hwa, Ha Seung-hoon, and Kim Tae-young earned the Bronze Prize. Student Jo Hye-jin's work ‘Harmony’ received the Chairman's Award, while the work ‘Walking Through a Moment’ by students Kim Tae-young, Kim Eun-bin, Kwak Su-hyun, and Jeong Ji-yeon earned the Association Award.
