Students from the School of Information, Communications & Electronics Engineering at The Catholic University of Korea won a total of three awards at the “2025 Creative Circuit Design Challenge” hosted by Kyungpook National University IDEC and the “2025 Smart Electronic Circuit Design Challenge” hosted by Chonnam National University IDEC.

At the “Creative Circuit Design Challenge” held on Thursday, November 6 at Kyungpook National University, two teams from The Catholic University of Korea received awards simultaneously. The team Nong-EIT (Kim Jin-woo, Lee Jun-min) presented an agricultural product tracking and monitoring system using EIT (Electrical Impedance Tomography) and received the Bronze Prize, while the team “Shh!” (Kim Jin-hyuk, Lee Yoon-cheol, Lee Dong-yoon) showcased an inter-floor noise reduction system applying ANC (Active Noise Cancelling) technology and received the Cadence Award.

Continuing this achievement, at the “Smart Electronic Circuit Design Challenge” held on Thursday, November 21 at Chonnam National University, the team Relax Light (Kim I-an, Jung Jae-won, Choi Da-hye) won the Silver Prize with their EEG-based biosignal measurement system circuit design.
These accomplishments are attributed to the students’ systematic development of practical skills through the “Self-making Project Portfolio” course under the University Innovation Support Project, where they carried out the entire process from circuit design to PCB implementation and verification.
