The ‘2025 28th Joint Academic Festival of the Department of Social Welfare’ was held on Friday, November 14, in Kim Sou-hwan Hall (K267) at the university. This year’s festival was held under the theme of 'A Society that Shares Care, Welfare that Achieves Coexistence,' and was jointly organized by the Department of Social Welfare, the Graduate School of Social Welfare, and the Specialized Graduate School.
In Part 1, the undergraduate presentation, the <Silver Town> team presented research findings that showed that care workers find motivation to continue their work in 'care,' despite their unstable employment environment, and suggested the need for institutional support. Following this, the <Maumsai> (Between Hearts) team announced that specialized programs for customized senior care services contribute to positive changes in the elderly, formation of bonds, and mitigation of social isolation.
In Part 2, the Graduate School of Social Welfare presentation addressed the effect of medical social workers’ self-care on job stress and satisfaction, emphasizing the necessity of a professional system to systematically support this.

Hwang In-seong, the student council president (Social Welfare '21), stated, “Thanks to the cooperation of the students and the academic community, the festival was successfully carried out,” adding, “I hope the Department of Social Welfare continues to develop as a place for learning and solidarity.”
