The Catholic University of Korea Ranks 3rd Overall and 1st in University Financial Soundness in the

The Catholic University of Korea (President Choi Jun-gyu)'s parent corporation, the Catholic Education Foundation, ranked 3rd overall in the '2025 University Corporation Evaluation' conducted by the Institute for University Evaluation and Research (INUE) and Hankyung Media Group.
The University Corporation Evaluation, conducted for the first time this year, targeted 83 corporations nationwide that manage private universities with 5,000 or more enrolled students. It was based on 14 detailed indicators across three categories: $\triangle$ Corporation Financial Soundness (40%), $\triangle$ Corporation-University Financial Soundness (20%), and $\triangle$ Sustainability (40%).
The Catholic Education Foundation achieved an overall 3rd place with the following results: $\triangle$ 3rd in Corporation Financial Soundness (25.06 points), $\triangle$ 1st in Corporation-University Financial Soundness (17.52 points), and $\triangle$ 6th in Sustainability (29.20 points).
Notably, the Foundation showed a high Corporation Contribution Rate of 19.67% and received consistently high scores in key indicators such as the Statutory Expense Burden Rate (104.72%) and the School Operating Expense Corporation Burden Rate (125%).
President Choi Jun-gyu stated, "The stable growth of The Catholic University of Korea over its 170-year history and its continuous investment in education and research have been possible thanks to the responsible financial management and consistent support of the Catholic Education Foundation. Going forward, we will develop into a research-focused university where research and education form a virtuous cycle through financial diversification and innovation."
