The Catholic University of Korea (President Choi Joon-Kyu) held a Town Hall Meeting on September 29, bringing together university executives, department heads, student representatives, and enrolled students to listen directly to students’ opinions and explore ideas for the University’s continued development.

The event provided an open forum where students could freely share their suggestions and expectations for the University, while faculty and staff engaged in discussion and collaboration to find practical solutions.

In his opening remarks, President Choi Joon-Kyu emphasized that “this Town Hall Meeting is a venue for open and mutually respectful communication among all members of the University community.” He added, “We will carefully review the issues raised—distinguishing between long-term initiatives and matters that can be addressed in the short term—and work closely with the relevant departments to take active action.”

Kwon Min-je (Special Education, Class of ’24) shared, “It was meaningful to know that my opinions could contribute to the University’s development,” expressing gratitude to the President and the faculty and staff who made the meeting possible.

Through this Town Hall Meeting, The Catholic University of Korea reaffirmed its commitment to actively reflecting students’ voices and plans to continue holding regular dialogue sessions to further advance student-centered university governance.
