The Division of Interdisciplinary Studies at The Catholic University of Korea held its “2025 Fall Semester Field Trip, Recruitment Briefing, and Workshop” from September 12 (Friday) to 13 (Saturday) at the headquarters and surrounding area of Incheon International Airport Corporation.
A total of 52 participants, including 4 professors and 48 students, took part in the two-day, one-night program.
The event was designed to help first-year students in the Division of Interdisciplinary Studies explore various career paths through hands-on field experiences, encouraging them to identify their aptitudes and interests early on and develop self-directed career plans for the future.
During the visit to Incheon International Airport Corporation, students learned about the airport’s history, major facilities, operational systems, and global competitiveness, gaining firsthand insights into one of Korea’s leading public enterprises.
In the subsequent recruitment briefing session hosted by the Human Resources Department, participants received practical advice as they learned about the company’s vision, recruitment process, and desired talent profiles, and engaged in a lively Q&A session.
The workshop, held at the accommodation site, included activities such as ice-breaking sessions, team-building exercises, and career and employment information exchanges. A special program titled “Knowing Myself and Knowing Each Other,” prepared by the freshman executive committee, provided an opportunity to foster cooperation and strengthen a sense of community.
Through this program, first-year students of the Division of Interdisciplinary Studies were able to experience a public enterprise workplace, gain valuable employment information, and enhance their career development capabilities, while also deepening bonds between students and faculty members.
The Division plans to continue expanding field-oriented education and community-building activities in collaboration with various companies and institutions in the future.
