The University Innovation Support Project is a government-funded project conducted for a total of 138 universities nationwide, aimed at improving educational quality and fostering future talent through institutional reform and autonomous innovation at each university. This year’s performance evaluation focused on two areas: △Educational Innovation Strategy △Internal Performance Management.
In this evaluation, Catholic University achieved an S Grade in the Educational Innovation Performance area and an A Grade (the highest grade) in the Internal Performance Management area, once again demonstrating its capacity for student-centered educational innovation and systematic performance management.
In the Educational Innovation Performance area, the university was highly evaluated for △Flexible academic operations to expand students’ freedom in choosing majors △Advancement of support and management systems for student success △Educational innovation strategies for fostering future-oriented, interdisciplinary talents △Establishment of new high-demand cutting-edge departments △Comprehensive support for systematic student education and career exploration considering individual aptitudes.
In the Internal Performance Management area, the university was recognized for △Development of self-assessment performance indicators △Efficient operation of performance management and feedback systems △Active communication and collection of opinions from members.
Since the launch of the first phase of the University Innovation Support Project in 2019, Catholic University has systematically set communication and opinion collection with members as self-assessment indicators and has continuously managed them. In 2024, out of a total of 83 collected feedback cases, 51 cases (61.4%) were from students, demonstrating the university’s strong emphasis on student communication. The results of student feedback have been consistently reflected in the establishment and implementation of educational innovation strategies.
