Notice on Household Member Verification and Consent for Student Financial Aid Support from KOSAF

What is Household Member Verification?

This is the process of verifying actual family relationships through the joint use of administrative information (resident registration electronic database and Supreme Court family relation registration electronic database) for household members subject to consent entered by the student during application. (Takes 1–3 days)

However, if verification is not possible through the electronic database, document submission will be required, and applicable individuals will be notified via SMS.

• Individuals required to submit documents MUST submit documents through the 'Document Submission Status' menu.

If consent from all household members is not completed, calculating the student financial aid support segment for the semester is NOT possible.

Scope of Household Members Subject to Consent (Varies depending on the marital status of the applicant student):

• (Single): Student + BOTH Parents
• (Married): Student + Spouse
• If the student oneself is confirmed to be a Basic Living Security Recipient or from the Near-Poverty Class, household member consent may be omitted. (However, applicants for the Housing Stability Scholarship MUST undergo the household member verification and consent process)
• If consent is impossible due to severance of family support relationships, household members subject to consent may be excluded through an exclusion review.

Household Member Consent Can Be Done Online or Offline

• Online: Access the Foundation Website, Mobile App, or 'Well' App → Electronic Signature Consent from Household Member(s) (Father, Mother, or Spouse)

• Offline: If online consent is not possible due to hospitalization, advanced age, residence in farming/fishing villages, disability, etc., proceed with offline consent after inquiring with the Consultation Center.
• In the case of offline consent, processing time may be extended as it proceeds after contacting the Consultation Center.
• Electronic Signature: Joint Certificate or Financial Certificate, etc.

If household member verification and consent are not completed, calculation of the student financial aid support segment will not be possible. Additionally, if verification and consent are delayed, disadvantages may occur, such as restrictions on the application period for information update (10 business days) and document submission deadline (5 business days).
