Selection for "2026 National Heritage Institute Outstanding Scholarship Students in Traditional Arts & Crafts and Buried Heritage Fields"


The "National Heritage Institute" is a public institution under the National Heritage Administration, established pursuant to Article 32 of the Framework Act on National Heritage. Our Institute is carrying out various projects to communicate with and share Korean traditional culture with the public through the proper transmission and creative utilization of national heritage. As part of these initiatives, we operate a scholarship program to support outstanding domestic students studying majors required in the fields of traditional arts & crafts and buried heritage. We encourage interested students to apply.



      1. 1) Eligibility

a) University students currently in their second year or higher who are majoring in traditional arts and crafts or fields related to buried heritage, possess excellent academic records (GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.5 scale), and demonstrate exemplary school life.

b) University students who are not receiving duplicate scholarships from the state or other institutions (organizations) (as of the 2nd semester of 2026).

c) Refer to the announcement for other preferential considerations.


  1. 2) Support Details

a) Scholarship of 1,500,000 KRW per person

b) Invitation to the Institute's cultural events and support for publications, cultural products, etc.

  1. 3) Number of Selected: 2 people
  2. 4) Support Period: September 1, 2026 (Tue) – September Announcement scheduled for 30 (Wed) / 10 (Tue)
  3. 5) Application Method: Complete the application form and submit it via email (janghak@kh.or.kr) along with the required documents.
