3. Criteria for Recognition of Volunteer Hours
- Volunteer Types: Categorized into 1) University-Linked, and 2) Self-Selected.
- University-Linked Applications: Accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from 2026.09.04. (Fri) 09:00 to 2026.09.05. (Sat) 17:00.
- Self-Selected Requirements: Must be conducted at institutions registered on volunteer portals (e.g., VMS, 1365) and require submission of the 'Attendance and Evaluation Confirmation Form'.
- Prior Volunteer Work: Students who performed volunteer work in advance must choose 'Self-Selected'. Recognized starting from 6 months prior to the semester start date (activities conducted after 2026.02.28 are recognized). Overseas volunteer work and blood donation are excluded.
4. Volunteer Activity Methods
A. University-Linked
- Application Period: 2026.09.04. (Fri) 09:00 ~ 2026.09.05. (Sat) 17:00
- Complete 36 hours of volunteer activity required for course completion.
- Changing to Self-Selected or canceling is strictly prohibited once selected.
- Details follow the guidelines of the respective university-linked institution.
- If not applied within the period, automatically registered under the Self-Selected method.

B. Self-Selected
- Application Period: 2026.09.04. (Fri) 09:00 ~ 2026.09.05. (Sat) 17:00
- Select an institution registered on volunteer portals such as 1365, VMS, or Dovol.
- Hours conducted after February 28, 2026, can be recognized (excludes cases where scholarships or stipends were received).
- Cautions for Submission:
- Must submit the original 'Attendance and Evaluation Confirmation Form' (manager's signature required).
- If there is no official institutional seal or if it is a copy, submit the evaluation confirmation form along with the 1365/VMS Volunteer Activity Performance Certificate.
⚠️ Warning: Ensure the institution can issue the 'Attendance and Evaluation Confirmation Form' before starting. Failure to submit this form will result in an 'F' grade.
📌 Guidance for Students Performing Volunteer Activities in Advance (Self-Selected)
- Notice to Institution: Before starting, inform the institution that it is for "academic credit recognition of the 'Sharing Love' course at The Catholic University of Korea" and that a manager's signature and seal may be required.
- Alternative Verification: If the institution cannot sign or seal due to internal regulations, verify that hours are logged on 1365, VMS, or Dovol. Official certificates from these portals can substitute for the signature and seal.
