[Academic Affairs Services Team] 2026-2nd Semester Yeungnam University Credit Exchange

※ The Catholic University of Korea and Yeungnam University operate a credit exchange system in accordance with the credit exchange agreement between the two universities. Accordingly, we hereby inform you of matters related to the credit exchange system and application.

  1. 1. First Submission: By July 30, 2026 (Thu) 16:00
  2. 2. Second Submission: By September 7, 2026 (Mon) 17:00 (Limited to those who submitted the first submission)
  3. 3. Submission Location: Academic Affairs Services Team (Michael Hall Room 104) 09:00 ~ 16:00 (Excluding lunch time 12:00 ~ 13:00)
  4. 4. Yeungnam University Credit Exchange System Information
  5. CategoryDetails
    Eligibility1) Undergraduate students currently enrolled in the university who have completed at least 4 semesters (However, expected graduates or those enrolled for 8 or more semesters cannot apply)

    2) In the case of transfer students to the university, application is allowed only for those who have completed at least one semester at the university

    3) Those whose cumulative GPA up to the semester prior to application is 3.0 or higher
    Application Procedure1) Trinity → Academic Information → Course/Grades → Course → Domestic Credit Exchange Application (Korea Univ/Soongmyung Women's Univ/Yeungnam Univ/Sungkonghoe Univ) screen to fill out application details

    2) After clicking apply, print the application form, obtain the signature/seal of the department chair/head of division, and submit it in person to the Academic Affairs Services Team

    - Submission Documents: (1st Submission) Credit Exchange Application Form / (2nd Submission) Credit Exchange Credit Recognition Application Form
    Selection Procedure1) Selected by the Dean of Academic Affairs within the exchange quota among applicants and approved by the President

    2) Selected within the exchange quota in order of GPA excellence up to the immediately preceding semester among applicants (In case of a tie, selected in order of higher total earned credits and higher number of completed semesters)
    Exchange QuotaWithin 2% of the quota by department (division)
    Period of Study1) Regular Semester: Within 2 semesters during enrollment at the university

    2) Summer/Winter Session: No limit
    Course Completion & Scope1) Any course offered by both universities may be selected and taken, but only general courses of the exchange university can be taken (Teacher training courses and certification-related courses must be taken at the university)

    2) Courses identical to previously taken courses cannot be taken (Inquire with the relevant department regarding whether courses are considered identical)

    3) Retaking courses previously taken at the university is only possible at the university (Retaking at the exchange university is not allowed)
    Earned Credits Range1) Regular Semester: Up to 19 credits including courses from both universities (If GPA in the immediately preceding semester is 4.0 or higher, up to 3 additional credits can be taken at the university / Must check the course add/drop period)

    2) In case of applying credit overload, additional credits can be taken at the university

    3) Summer/Winter Session: Up to 6 credits including courses from both universities

    4) Enrolled students of the university can earn up to a maximum of 38 credits during their enrollment
    Grade Evaluation & Credit Recognition1) Courses completed at the exchange university replace the university's courses through credit recognition and are listed on the academic transcript, and the grades for the relevant courses are recognized as the same grades earned at the exchange university

    2) Credit recognition is recognized by the university up to the credits earned at the exchange university

    3) Among credits earned off-campus such as domestic credit exchange, study abroad exchange, and overseas field training, credits are recognized only within 1/2 of the credits required for graduation

    Credit Exchange ApplicationRefer to the Domestic Credit Exchange (Korea Univ / Soongmyung Women's Univ / Yeungnam Univ / Sungkonghoe Univ) application screen and the application method attachment file
    Credit Recognition Application1) Submit credit recognition application form corresponding to the 2nd submission

    2) Submission Deadline: By September 7, 2026 (Mon) 17:00

    3) Enter credit recognition details in Trinity (Syllabus of the host university must be uploaded) → Print and obtain signature/seal of the department chair/head of division → Submit relevant documents to the Academic Affairs Services Team
    Precautions1) Please be careful not to create discrepancies between actual Yeungnam University course registration details and credit recognition application details

    2) Cancellation of credit exchange: Cancellation must be requested on the Trinity credit exchange application screen, and if course registration was made at the other university, notification must be given to both the other university and the university

    3) If arrival of grades at the university is delayed due to the end of classes or grade confirmation schedule of the host university, disadvantage may occur in academic affairs such as scholarships, dormitory selection, and graduation, so please pay special attention

    1. 7. Miscellaneous Matters

    • -Application and document submission are mandatory by the application deadline, and even if applied through Trinity, if signature/seal of the department chair and in-person submission of the application form are not completed, the credit exchange application will be automatically canceled.
