[Guide to Applying for the 2026 Ssangyong Gomduri Scholarship]
The Korea Disabled People's Development Institute is selecting recipients for the 2026 Ssangyong Gomduri Scholarship. Interested students are requested to check the details below and apply through the Student Affairs Team.
1. Eligibility
A. Target: Enrolled undergraduate students with disabilities
B. Nationality: Republic of Korea (South Korea) national
[Application Eligibility by Category]
- Academic Excellence Scholarship: Undergraduate students who have a score average of 80 points or higher in the immediately preceding semester and have completed at least 12 credits.
- Arts and Physical Education Talented Scholarship: Students with a history of winning prizes in domestic or international arts/physical education competitions since 2023.
- Information and Communications Talented Scholarship: Students with a history of winning prizes in domestic or international information and communications competitions since 2023.
2. Scholarship Amount
A. Amount Paid: 1 million KRW per semester
B. Scholarship Nature: Living allowance support scholarship
C. Period of Support: Paid for 1 year if there are no grounds for disqualification (※ 2026 2nd Semester – 2027 1st Semester)
3. Duties of Scholarship Recipients
A. Submit an academic transcript every semester
B. Maintain a score average of 80 points or higher every semester
C. Fulfill the minimum credit completion requirement (12 credits or more) every semester ※ Excluding the case of the graduation semester where the minimum credit requirement is waived
D. Notify the Korea Disabled People's Development Institute in the event of academic status changes such as leave of absence or graduation during the scholarship benefit period ※ Scholarship payment may be suspended if duties are not fulfilled.

A. Application Period: July 13, 2026 (Mon) – until July 20, 2026 (Mon)

5. Required Documents
A. Common Required Documents
- • 1 copy each of the Scholarship Application Form and Personal Statement
- • 1 copy of the Personal Information Provision Consent Form
- • 1 copy of the 2026 1st Semester Academic Transcript
- • 1 copy of Disability Documentation (Copy of Welfare Card for the Disabled or Certificate of Disability)
- • 1 copy of the Certificate of Family Relations
- • Documents proving household economic status
- - Mandatory: 2026 Student Financial Aid Segment Notification
- - Optional: Basic Livelihood Security Recipient Certificate, Near-Poverty (Cha-sang-wi) Class Certificate ※ Limited to those applicable
B. Additional Required Documents for Applicable Categories
- • Arts and Physical Education Talented Scholarship: 1 copy of a prize-winning certificate from a domestic or international arts/physical education competition since 2023
- • Information and Communications Talented Scholarship: 1 copy of a prize-winning certificate from a domestic or international information and communications competition since 2023, and 1 copy of a National Technical Qualification Certificate
C. Recommendation Letter
- • A recommendation letter is not a mandatory document; however, if a submission is required, please fill out the Recommendation Request Form (attached data) and submit it to the Student Affairs Team.
- • Once the issuance of the recommendation letter is complete, the Student Affairs Team will submit it together with the scholarship application documents.
6. Miscellaneous
A. Please make sure to check the attached 「2026 Ssangyong Gomduri Scholarship FAQ」 for detailed required documents and important notes.
B. Disadvantages caused by insufficient required documents or non-submission within the deadline are the responsibility of the applicant.
C. The final selection results will be determined after evaluation by the Korea Disabled People's Development Institute.
