4. Key Precautions Regarding Work Activities

📌 Summer School Timetable Registration Precautions

  • The timetable application period is identical to the university's official Summer School period (June 23 ~ July 13). During this period, you can only work during empty hours outside of your class timetable. After the summer school ends (July 14~), you can work regardless of the timetable.

  • Working during a registered class time is considered Unfair Work (Proxy/Substitute Work), and entries are blocked.

  • If a class is temporarily cancelled or a recess is given, you still cannot work during that scheduled block. Remote/non-face-to-face classes follow the same rule.

  • If your timetable changes midway, you must submit a copy of the revised timetable to the Student Affairs Team (Room N109).

📌 Work Hours & Schedule Management

  • Work Schedule: Refers to the actual hours you plan to work. Discuss holiday operations and mandatory break times with your manager in advance.

  • Break Times: A minimum 30-minute break must be given for 4 hours of work, and a 1-hour break for 8 hours of work. Break times are excluded from total paid work hours.

  • Missed Clock-ins: Attendance logs not entered on the day cannot be modified by the student. You must request entry/rectification from your Work Institution Manager.

  • Missing Entry Cap: If you exceed 10 unsubmitted/belated entries, future scholarship payments may be restricted.

5. Work Hours & Scholarship Payment Standards

1) Maximum Allowed Work Hours

  • Per Student Maximum Limit: Up to 320 hours total during the entire vacation period.

  • Daily/Weekly Caps: Max 8 hours per day, and max 40 hours per week (Monday ~ Sunday).

2) Activity Period

  • July 1, 2026 (Wed) ~ August 30, 2026 (Sun)

  • *Work is strictly allowed only within the designated operation period and before the project closing date.

3) Hourly Wage & Payment Details

  • Hourly Wage (Off-Campus/Vacation): 12,790 KRW / hour

  • Payment Date: Around the third week of the following month after the completion of each working month.

  • Payment Account: Disbursed directly into the student’s personal bank account registered during the Korea Scholarship Foundation application.

  • *Important: Every month-end, the institution manager must execute the "University Submission Processing" task so the data transfers to the school. If delayed, monthly payments for the entire student batch may be delayed.

6. Unfair Work Categories & Restrictions

Students found engaging in unfair work will face immediate termination, scholarship reclamation, and a ban from participating in future projects.

  • False/Fabricated Work: Recording hours on days or times when no actual work was performed.

    • Sanction: Full restitution of the scholarship + 2-year ban from the program.

  • Alternative/Substitute Work: Working at a time different from what was officially logged in the system.

    • Sanction: Suspension of work + 1-year ban from the program.

  • Proxy Work: Having someone else perform the work on behalf of the selected student.

    • Sanction: Full restitution of the scholarship + Suspension of work for both parties involved.

⚠️ August 2026 Graduates Note: Students graduating or completing their course in August 2026 are only permitted to work up until August 14, 2026. Working past this date will trigger an automatic reclamation of funds.

⚠️ Academic Status Changes: If your status changes to 'Leave of Absence, Drop-out, Graduation, or Course Completion', you can only work until the exact day prior to the change.
