For Students Currently Completing Their Second Semester
▪ Eligibility: First-year enrolled students who, as of the 2026-1 semester, are currently completing their second semester
※ First-year students who have already been assigned a major are not eligible to apply.
However, students admitted in 2026 and students admitted before 2025 who have already been assigned a major are not eligible to apply. Any applications submitted by such students will be canceled collectively.

▣ Important Notes for Major Assignment Applications
1. Students Admitted in 2025
A. Students affiliated with a department/school or the Global School of Business may apply only for a second major.
They must apply for either the First Major Intensive Track or a second major. If no option is selected, they will be assigned to the First Major Intensive Track.
B. Students affiliated with the Division of Humanities & Social Science, Division of Natural Science & Engineering, or College of Liberal Studies must apply for both their first and second majors.
C. If students do not select a first major within the application period, their major will be assigned based on the preliminary major preference survey conducted during the semester.
The second major will be arbitrarily assigned as the First Major Intensive Track.
D. The first majors available to students affiliated with the Division of Humanities & Social Science, Division of Natural Science & Engineering, or College of Liberal Studies are as follows.

E. Students affiliated with the Global School of Business may select a second major only from departments within their school: International Business Administration, Tax Accounting and Finance, and IT Finance. Other students are not eligible to select these majors.
F. Students affiliated with the College of Liberal Studies will be assigned to the department they select. Students affiliated with the Division of Humanities & Social Science or the Division of Natural Science & Engineering will be assigned according to the assignment criteria, in order of preference.
2. Students Admitted from 2021 to 2024
A. Students admitted through rolling admission and students affiliated with majors outside their division, such as Data Science or Biomedical Software, may apply only for a second major.
They must apply for either the First Major Intensive Track or a second major. If no option is selected, they will be assigned to the First Major Intensive Track.
B. Students who have not yet been assigned a first major must apply for both their first and second majors.
C. If students do not select a first major within the application period, their major will be assigned based on the preliminary major preference survey conducted during the semester.
The second major will be arbitrarily assigned as the First Major Intensive Track.
D. This applies to students admitted from 2021 to 2023 in the Division of Bio-Convergence Engineering: Biomedical Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, and Energy & Environmental Engineering.
E. Students affiliated with the Global School of Business may select a second major only from departments within their school: International Business Administration, Tax Accounting and Finance, and IT Finance. Other students are not eligible to select these majors.
F. The first majors available for each affiliation are as follows.

A. Students admitted through rolling admission and students affiliated with majors outside their division, such as Biomedical Software, may apply only for a second major.
They must apply for either the First Major Intensive Track or a second major. If no option is selected, they will be assigned to the First Major Intensive Track.
B. Students who have not yet been assigned a first major must apply for both their first and second majors.
C. The first major enrollment cap system for students admitted through regular admission in 2020 has been abolished, with some exceptions.
The enrollment cap system has been abolished for the Humanities Division, Language and Literature Division, Business Division, International Studies/Law/Economics/Public Administration Division, Natural Sciences Division, Human Ecology Division, ICT Engineering Division, and Social Sciences Division, excluding Special Education.
The enrollment cap system remains in place for the Bio-Convergence Engineering Division.
D. If students do not select a major within the application period, their major will be assigned based on the preliminary major preference survey conducted during the semester.
The second major will be arbitrarily assigned as the First Major Intensive Track.
E. This applies to students admitted in 2020 in the Bio-Convergence Engineering Division: Department of Medical and Biological Science, Biotechnology, and Energy & Environmental Engineering.
4. Students must apply for different majors for their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th preferences for each major category.
5. Students who wish to select the “First Major Intensive Track” as their double major must select “First Major Intensive Track” in the Second Major Assignment Application window.
※ If students select the First Major Intensive Track as their first preference for the second major, they do not need to enter second or third preferences.
The intensive track is not evaluated based on grades. It simply means that once the first major is assigned, the student will pursue only that major, and the student will not be rejected from this option.
6. Important Notes
A. If the assigned first major is the same as the first-preference second major, the second major preference will automatically move to the second-preference major.
B. If no information is entered for the second major, the student will be collectively assigned to the First Major Intensive Track.
C. Students who wish to make changes after major assignment must use the double major change application period at the end of each semester, including changes to the First Major Intensive Track.
D. Newly established departments, including AI Engineering and the School of Biologics Engineering, cannot be selected as second majors.
E. Second major assignment method, based on 34 credits:
If there is available capacity in the requested major, the student will be assigned immediately. If there is no available capacity, the student will be assigned only if their grade is higher than the previous year’s major assignment cutoff.
F. Students admitted in 2026 and students who have already been assigned a major are not eligible to apply. Any applications submitted by such students will be canceled collectively.
