The Catholic University of Korea is recruiting the 21st cohort of the Global Volunteer Corps for the 2026 academic year. We look forward to the participation of students who wish to share the most passionate days of their lives through international service, transcending majors and departments.

■ Overseas Service Overview

• Dispatch Period: July 6 (Mon) – July 16 (Thu), 2026 (9 nights, 11 days).

• Objectives: * Embodying the university's educational ideals of Truth, Love, and Service.

• 
  

  • Self-development through international experience and volunteer activities.

  • Promoting Korean culture and mutual understanding through cultural exchange.

• Country and Participants: * Country: Vientiane, Laos.

• 
  

  • Participants: Approximately 60 enrolled students (Songsim, Theology, Medicine, and Nursing campuses).

• Service Activities: * Improvement of local facilities (Experts).

• 
  

  • Educational, labor-based, and artistic talent donation/cultural exchange (Students).

■ Recruitment and Selection

• Eligibility: * Enrolled students from all three campuses (Excluding graduate students and students on leave).

• 
  

  • Those with no disqualifications for overseas travel.

  • Students seeking meaningful memories and the joy of sharing with peers from other departments.

• Selection Method: Document Screening → Interview → Final Selection.

• Preferential Treatment: Talents in Pungmul (Korean folk music), Taekwondo, Music, Art, Korean language education, Photography, Soccer, etc.

• Participation Fee: 950,000 KRW (Benefits worth more than twice the fee provided).

• Benefits: 2 credits for 'International Volunteer Corps' (2nd semester), and 60 hours of volunteer service recorded on the transcript.

■ Application Process

• Period: April 3 (Fri) – April 9 (Thu), 2026, until 17:00.

• Target: Enrolled students only. Students graduating in August must have no plans for internships or employment during the preparation period. Must be able to attend the inauguration ceremony, pre-departure meetings, and disbanding ceremony.

  • In-person Submission: Submit Attachments #1–5 and supporting documents (passport copy, transcripts, volunteer certificates) in 3 physical copies (A4 size) to the designated office on your campus.

  • Email Submission: After in-person verification, send PDF files (Attachments #1–5) and an Excel file (Attachment #6) to jinho@catholic.ac.kr.
