The Incheon Institute for Talent & Lifelong Education is recruiting teams for the 2026 Overseas Backpacking Program. This program provides Incheon's youth with opportunities to cultivate a global mindset and discover policy ideas for regional development.
1. Eligibility
Applicants must be between ages 19 and 34 (born between 1992 and 2007) and meet one of the following criteria:
The applicant or their parent has been registered in Incheon for at least one year.
The applicant graduated from a high school in Incheon.
The applicant is currently enrolled (or on leave) at a university located in Incheon (e.g., The Catholic University of Korea).
Note: Every member of the team must satisfy at least one of these criteria.
2. Program Details
Scale: Approx. 5 teams (3–4 members per team).
Recruitment Categories: Asia/Oceania, Africa, Europe, Americas.
Destination: Any country worldwide (excluding restricted travel areas).
Mission: Conduct exploration by visiting overseas sites and institutions based on a team-selected theme (e.g., Urban Planning, Economy, Culture/Arts, Welfare, Education, Future Industry, etc.).
3. Support & Benefits
Scholarship: Up to 10 million KRW per team for backpacking expenses.

Application Period: April 3 (Fri) – April 30 (Thu), 2026
