Application for 2026 1st Semester 『Major Discovery Week』 Special Lectures
As part of the curriculum, The Catholic University of Korea will host the 2026 1st Semester 『Major Discovery Week』 special lectures. Students enrolled in the relevant courses are encouraged to review the following notice and complete their applications within the designated period.
1. What is 『Major Discovery Week』? This is a university-wide program involving all departments, designed to provide 2026 incoming students under the Open Major System with practical insights into career choices through direct interaction with professors and various academic fields.
2. Eligibility 2026 incoming students under the Open Major System (College of Liberal Studies, Division of Humanities & Social Science, and Division of Natural Science & Engineering).
3. Application Period Available until March 25, 2026 (Wed), 23:59.
4. How to Apply Applications must be submitted via Google Form (Link to Application). ※ Note: Each lecture is limited to 40 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
5. Program Operations
Operation Period: Week 4 (Mar 24) to Week 11 (May 18) of the 2026 1st Semester.
Attendance Requirements: Students must participate in one lecture from each group (Group A, B, and C), totaling three lectures.
Ex 1) Taking three lectures only from Group A → Attendance NOT recognized.
Ex 2) Taking two from Group B and one from Group C → Attendance NOT recognized.
Ex 3) Taking one each from Groups A, B, and C → Attendance recognized.
Schedule: Students must attend lectures during their free periods (Official absence from regular classes for these lectures is not permitted).
Duration & Punctuality: Each lecture lasts one hour. Please note that late arrivals will not be counted as present.
Attendance Processing: Upon completion of all lectures, attendance results will be reflected in the Week 10 attendance of the course.
