Notice on the Preliminary Major Selection for First-Year Students, Academic Year 2026

To support systematic academic guidance for freshmen in the Division of Humanities & Social Science, Division of Natural Science & Engineering, and the College of Liberal Studies, the Preliminary First Major Selection will be conducted.

1. Eligibility

Freshmen of the Division of Humanities & Social Science, Division of Natural Science & Engineering, and the College of Liberal Studies for the Academic Year 2026, as well as students from earlier cohorts who have not yet been assigned a major.

2. Period

Mar. 9, 2026 (Mon) – Mar. 19, 2026 (Thu) until 24:00

 Student Information → Academic Records/Graduation → Academic Records (Preliminary Major Selection Application) → Select one preferred major

4. Important Notes

• This application is a preliminary selection intended to support academic advising and is not related to the final major assignment.
   The actual major assignment application will take place at the end of the second semester of the first year.
  
  

• You may choose one major from all departments except:
   Special Education, Department of Music, Pharmacy, departments affiliated with the School of Business, Biotechnology, Department of Artificial Intelligence, and departments exclusively for international students.
  
  

• Students admitted in 2026 or earlier cohorts should select their major according to the regulations applicable to their admission year.
