3. Overview of the Credit Exchange Program with Sookmyung Women’s University
Eligibility
Undergraduate students currently enrolled at The Catholic University of Korea who have completed four or more semesters
(Students expected to graduate or those who have completed eight or more semesters are not eligible).Transfer students are eligible only if they have completed at least one semester at The Catholic University of Korea.
Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher up to the previous semester.
Application Procedure
Trinity → Academic Information → Classes/Grades → Classes → Domestic Credit Exchange Application
(Korea University / Sookmyung Women’s University / Yeungnam University / Sungkonghoe University)After submitting the application, print the application form, obtain signatures from the Major Chair and Department Head, and submit the documents to the Academic Affairs Services Team
(Application for Credit Recognition + Personal Information Consent Form).

Study Period
Regular semesters: Up to two semesters during enrollment at The Catholic University of Korea
Seasonal semesters: No limitation
Courses and Scope
Students may take courses selected from all courses offered by both universities; however, only courses offered by the host university may be taken
(Teaching certification courses and license-related courses must be taken at The Catholic University of Korea).Courses identical to those already completed are not eligible (Please consult the relevant department regarding course equivalency).
Retaking courses previously completed at The Catholic University of Korea is allowed only at this university (retakes at the host university are not permitted).
Credit Limits
Regular semester: Up to 6 credits at Sookmyung Women’s University
(Up to 19 total credits including both universities).Students with a GPA of 4.0 or higher in the previous semester or those eligible for the credit carryover system may take additional credits at The Catholic University of Korea.
Grading and Credit Recognition
Courses completed at the host university will be recognized as equivalent courses at The Catholic University of Korea and recorded on the academic transcript after converting the grades to this university’s grading scale.
Credits will be recognized in the same number as those earned at the host university.
The total number of credits earned outside the university (domestic credit exchange, overseas exchange programs, overseas field training, etc.) may be recognized up to one-half of the credits required for graduation.

Tuition Payment
Tuition must be paid to The Catholic University of Korea
(No tuition payment is required to Sookmyung Women’s University).

(Korea University / Sookmyung Women’s University / Yeungnam University / Sungkonghoe University).Enter credit recognition information in Trinity (Uploading the host university’s syllabus is mandatory) → Print → Obtain the Department Head’s signature → Submit all documents to the Academic Affairs Services Team.
Important Notes
Ensure that there is no discrepancy between the actual course registration at Sookmyung Women’s University and the credit recognition application details.
Cancellation of credit exchange:
Cancellation must be requested via the Trinity credit exchange application screen.
If course registration has been completed at the host university, both universities must be notified.
Delays in grade submission due to the host university’s academic schedule may result in disadvantages related to scholarships, dormitory selection, or graduation. Please exercise caution.
6. Additional Information
Applications and document submissions must be completed by the deadline.
