Notice on Application for Major Change for the Spring Semester of the 2026 Academic Year
This notice announces the eligibility requirements and schedule for applying for a change of major for the Spring Semester of the 2026 academic year. Students who wish to apply must submit their application within the designated period.
1. Eligible Applicants
Currently enrolled undergraduate students from the 1st to 4th year
(Transfer students and students under the Major Reservation System are not eligible)Students who have completed at least two semesters
(Students admitted without a major assignment must be registered for at least three semesters and have completed at least one semester in a major program)
2. Eligibility Requirements
Minimum required credits completed and a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher
Minimum completed credits (required)
1st year: 2nd semester – 34 credits
2nd year: 3rd semester – 51 credits / 4th semester – 68 credits
3rd year: 5th semester – 82 credits / 6th semester – 98 credits
4th year: 7th semester – 114 credits / 8th semester or higher – 130 credits
※ Credits from the 2nd semester of the 2025 academic year are included; winter session credits are excluded.
Cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher (after final grades for the 2nd semester of 2025 are confirmed)
※ Applicants whose GPA falls below 2.50 after grade confirmation will be disqualified.
※ Grades for the 2nd semester of 2025 will be finalized in early January 2026 and are not yet reflected. They will be calculated and applied collectively by the Academic Affairs Services Team after submission.
3. Application Submission
Application period:

※ Failure to submit required offline documents within the period will result in disqualification.
4. Announcement of Results
Scheduled for January 14 (Wed), 2026
(Individual results can be checked via the Trinity Academic Status menu)
5. Important Notes
Students on leave of absence at the time of application are not eligible
Students may change their major only once
Transfer to a newly established department is allowed only if the applicant’s year level is equal to or higher than that of the department’s first admitted cohort
Changing to a second major (double major) is allowed; upon acceptance, the second major will be converted to an advanced first major
Students admitted under the Major Reservation System between 2011 and 2019 are not eligible
Transfer students are not eligible (Article 4, Clause 3 of the Change of Major Regulations)
Students admitted without a major assignment must complete at least one semester in their first major before applying
Students completing teacher certification as a first major will automatically forfeit the certification upon changing majors
Students accepted for a major change will lose eligibility for grade-based scholarships for that semester
Fourth-year students accepted for a major change must complete at least one semester in the new major
