Selection Process
| The Academic Affairs Director selects applicants within the exchange quota, subject to the approval of the President.
Selection is based on GPA ranking up to the previous semester, within the exchange quota (in case of a tie, priority is given to those with higher total earned credits, then to those with more semesters completed).
|
Exchange Quota
| Within 2% of the regular enrollment per department.
Korea University limits the number of recommended students to 10 per institution (no limit for winter/summer sessions).
|
Course Enrollment and Scope
| Students may take any courses offered at both universities and may enroll only in courses at the host university. (However, teacher training and certification-related courses must be taken at the home university.)
Courses identical to those already completed at this university cannot be retaken (check with your department for equivalency).
Retaking a course offered at this university must be done here; retaking at the host university is not allowed.
|
Credit Limits
| Winter session: Up to 6 credits total (including courses taken at both universities).
The total of all credits earned during the winter session, including domestic or overseas programs, must not exceed the 6-credit limit.
|
Grading and Credit Recognition
| Courses completed at the host university will appear on the student’s transcript as equivalent courses from this university. Grades will be converted according to this university’s grading scale.
Credits will be recognized on a one-to-one basis according to the credits earned at the host university.
The total number of credits earned through domestic or overseas exchange programs may not exceed half of the graduation requirement. (For transfer students: up to 31 credits for students admitted through 2011; up to 32 credits for students admitted from 2012 onward.)
