We guide you through the additional application period for the 2025 Academic Year 2nd Semester National Work-Study Scholarship (from the Korea Student Aid Foundation). Students who wish to participate in the intensive winter break work program should apply within the following period.
1. Application Period:

3. Eligibility:
Students who wish to participate in the intensive work program during the 2025-2 winter break and have NOT applied for the National Work-Study Scholarship in the 1st or 2nd rounds.
Note 1: Students who have already applied in the 1st or 2nd rounds do not need to apply again.
Note 2: If you apply this time, you will be eligible for the 1st preference (intensive winter program) selection, and those not selected in the 1st preference will be included in the 2nd preference selection.
Note 3: You must have applied during this period to participate in the intensive winter work program (e.g., final selection/placement is possible after the application period).
4. Applicant Qualifications:
(1) General Qualifications:
Enrollment within the regular academic period (up to 8 semesters)
Minimum cumulative GPA of 1.88 (out of 4.3 or equivalent, 70/100) and must have completed 12 or more credits (GPA requirement waived for freshmen/transfer students in their first semester)
Income bracket (based on selection criteria) 9 or lower
<Exclusions>
Students on leave of absence (except for military service/maternity/childcare leave), graduating students, graduate students, students taking reduced course loads, foreign students, students at lifelong education facilities, students registered for time-based/non-credit courses, students in short-term employment/re-employment, etc., during the 2025-2 semester.
Students who change their academic status during the semester to leave of absence, graduation, employment, etc., which makes work-study impossible.
Students participating in other government-funded work-study projects (Korea Student Aid Foundation, Youth and Adolescent Lifelong Education Support, Multicultural/North Korean Defector Mentoring, etc.) simultaneously.
Work-study/Internship/National Work-Study Scholarship grants can be received exceeding the tuition fee range.

Students who meet the basic applicant qualifications (Application criteria)
Students who apply for both the National Work-Study Scholarship and the Dormitory Work Program (including concurrent application) will be given selection priority for the Dormitory Work Program.
Students who are selected for the 1st preference (intensive winter program) among the same income bracket/National Work-Study Scholarship/Dormitory Work Program applicants are given priority.
[Priority Selection Reasons]: Students with disabilities, low-income students, students from multicultural families, children of national merit recipients, students with one disabled parent/severe disability, foster care leavers, young adults who are economically independent, children of national merit recipients, students with many dependents, and students receiving support from local children’s centers are given priority.
If the number of selected individuals eligible for priority selection is lower than the required number, selection can be made from non-priority eligible students.
Exclusions from Selection: Those who have been selected for government-funded youth and adolescent lifelong education support, multicultural/North Korean defector mentoring programs in 2025 (no duplicate participation).
Selection Standard: The selection is based on the National Work-Study Scholarship's budget within the school.
Note: The basic qualification criteria (income bracket, GPA) are subject to change due to KOSAF's policies. Therefore, please check the KOSAF website for the most recent information, as specific selection methods and periods are subject to change due to final selection procedures and timing.
5. Other Important Notes:
Hourly Wage: 12,430 KRW/hour (During Break)
Required Documents: Required documents must be submitted to the Korea Student Aid Foundation (within the submission period - check notice/website).
Final Acceptance: Final acceptance status (successful applicant notification, work placement criteria, work start/end date, etc.) will be notified to the student's personal account and posted on the KOSAF website after the application period and selection process.
Duplicate Grants: Receiving both the school's work-study scholarship (academic year/break) and the National Work-Study Scholarship (academic year/break) is allowed (up to 1 type for academic year and 1 type for break).
Tuition Coverage: The Work-Study Scholarship (academic year/break) is calculated excluding tuition fees and can be received beyond the tuition fee amount.
