『2026 Doosan Yonkang Foundation Scholarship Announcement』


The Doosan Yonkang Foundation, established in 1978 in honor of the late Doosan Group’s first chairman, Park Doo-byung, who believed that “the driving force of national development begins with education,” provides scholarships to outstanding university students across Korea.

For 2026, the foundation will select Yonkang Scholars as outlined below, and we encourage all eligible undergraduate students to apply.


1. Eligibility (Applicants must meet all of the following conditions)


1.1. Undergraduate students of 4-year universities in Korea who hold Korean nationality

1.2. Students entering the second year (first semester) as of March 2026

1.3. Students who can remain enrolled for both the first and second semesters of 2026

1.4. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.5 scale

 (Students currently in their first year, second semester may apply with their first-semester GPA)

1.5. Students whose household income level is within level 6 or below according to the Korea Student Aid Foundation (KOSAF) for the second semester of 2025

 (Those without income data for that period, e.g., due to military service or leave of absence, must submit substitute documents)

1.6. Students who can attend ceremonies and events hosted by the foundation

 ※ Failure to attend the scholarship award ceremony scheduled for February 2026 will result in disqualification.


2. Scholarship Benefits


2.1. KRW 4,000,000 per semester in academic encouragement funds (living expense-type scholarship), awarded until graduation

 (Subject to continued eligibility under foundation criteria)

2.2. Participation in scholar workshops and networking activities

4. Selection Process: Document Screening → Interview → Final Announcement


a. Application Period: October 15 (Wed) – November 14 (Fri), 2025, 18:00 (KST)

b. Announcement of Document Screening Results: December 12 (Fri), 2025 (tentative)

c. Interviews: Early January 2026

d. Final Announcement: Early February 2026

e. Scholarship Award Ceremony: February 2026

 ※ The schedule and process are subject to change based on the foundation’s circumstances.


5. Required Documents


5.1. Recommendation letter (foundation form): written and signed by the department chair or academic advisor

5.2. Certificate of enrollment (or leave of absence certificate, if applicable)

5.3. Official transcript

5.4. Certificate of family relations (detailed version, issued under father or mother’s name)

5.5. Proof of income level (KOSAF notification for the second semester of 2025)

 If unavailable (due to military service, leave, etc.), submit the following three documents as a single PDF file:

  ① Proof of health insurance premium payment (last 12 months, for both parents)

  ② Local tax payment certificate (itemized, for 2025)

  ③ Certificate of income (2024) or withholding tax receipt (2024) for both parents

5.6. Proof of financial hardship (only for applicable cases):

 Certificate of basic living recipient, lower-income status, medical expense reduction, single-parent family, or disability pension recipient.


※ Only documents issued after October 15, 2025 are accepted.

 Resident registration numbers must be masked or deleted before submission.

 (Unmasked documents will be rejected.)


6. Application Period


October 15 (Wed), 2025, 09:00 – November 14 (Fri), 2025, 18:00 (KST)


7. Application Method


Apply through the Doosan Yonkang Foundation website.

(Homepage → Scholarship Application → “2026 Doosan Yonkang University Scholarship”)

Complete the online application form and upload all scanned documents as a single file.


8. Conditions for Continued Support


8.1. Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.5 scale) for two consecutive semesters to continue receiving the scholarship until graduation.

 (Only regular semesters are supported within the standard study period.)

8.2. Participate in foundation events (award ceremonies, workshops, and other official programs).

8.3. Remain in good standing with the university (no disciplinary action or unauthorized leave).


9. Important Notes


9.1. The applicant is responsible for any disadvantages caused by false information, errors, or missing documents.

9.2. All documents must be submitted as scanned files (unclear images will not be accepted).

9.3. Once submitted, essays and personal statements cannot be modified.

9.4. Scholarship support will be terminated if a student takes a leave of absence within one year after final selection.

9.5. Non-selected applicants’ documents will be destroyed within one month after the final selection.

9.6. Cannot receive this scholarship concurrently with other private scholarships.

 (However, national or university merit scholarships may be received together.)

9.7. A preliminary online test and interview will be conducted; failure to attend will result in disqualification.
