(Submission: Academic Affairs Services Team, Michael Hall H104, 09:00–17:00, excluding lunch 12:00–13:00)
※ Carefully read the attached credit recognition guide and the domestic credit exchange/application screen guide.
1. Eligibility for Credit Exchange Application
Students who have completed at least the 1st year
Students without disciplinary records according to university regulations
Students not in their final semester (8th semester or above, graduating students not eligible)
Some universities require a minimum GPA of 3.0 (check on Trinity application screen)
2. Credit Limits
Up to 6 credits per semester (including Winter Session credits, credits from International Language Education Center-approved courses, overseas language program credits, and other credit exchange programs)
Courses retaken at The Catholic University of Korea with C+ or lower grades are excluded from credit exchange (retakes must be completed at The Catholic University of Korea)
3. Tuition
Students pay directly to the partner university according to the partner university’s Winter Session tuition
4-1. How to Apply for Credit Exchange and Recognition (Attachments must be checked)
① Login to Trinity → Academic Information → Courses/Grades → Courses → Domestic Credit Exchange Application (Gyeongin Region, Seoul Region)
② Select the exchange university → Click Credit Exchange Application → (Automatic screen transition) → Enter credit recognition application → Select recognition method and upload partner university syllabus
③ Click Submit/Save → Print the credit recognition application
④ Bring the application and syllabus to your major office for stamp and signature → Submit to Academic Affairs Services Team (must be submitted at least 3 days before the application deadline; late submissions not accepted)
4-2. How to Register for Courses (Varies by university)
Check the credit exchange guide for each university to see if registration is direct or automatic
① Direct Registration: Login to each university’s information system and register during the registration period
② Automatic Registration: Submit desired courses to the partner university; the academic office will register automatically
4-3. Checking Available Courses
Refer to the timetable on the partner university’s website
4-4. Cancelling After Selection as a Credit Exchange Student
Must cancel through Trinity application screen
Notify both the partner university and The Catholic University of Korea Academic Affairs Services Team
*Failure to notify may result in non-refundable tuition for Winter Session and F grades
5. Precautions
Delays in grade arrival from partner universities may affect scholarships, dormitory selection, and graduation; pay close attention
Applications must be submitted at least 3 days before the deadline; even if applied via Trinity, failure to obtain the department head’s signature and submit in person will automatically cancel the application
Universities with blank deadlines will be updated upon receipt of official notice; check regularly
Only half of the total credits earned outside the university (domestic credit exchange, exchange student, overseas field training) are recognized for graduation requirements
(Transfer students: only half of required credits after admission; 31 credits for students admitted before 2011, 32 credits for students after 2012)Inquiries: Academic Affairs Services Team, Credit Exchange (02-2164-4048 / ti1017@catholic.ac.kr)
