[College of Liberal Arts] Recruitment Notice for the 19th Cohort of Caritas Volunteer Corps

The Caritas Volunteer Corps, an official institutional student organization under the Catholic University of Korea, is now recruiting its 19th cohort of members who are ready to practice love through volunteer service.

As the official organizer of the university’s signature volunteer activity, Love Briquette Sharing Service, the Caritas Volunteer Corps dedicates itself to serving marginalized communities and embodying the Catholic spirit of compassion.

Membership is open not only to freshmen but also to current CUK students. We warmly welcome passionate students who are ready to live out our motto, “To the Lowest Place,” by generously sharing their love with others.


1. Eligibility

  • Freshmen and current undergraduate students of CUK

  • Must be able to participate for at least two semesters


2. Main Activities

  • Group volunteering: Briquette sharing service, weekly/monthly regular volunteering, campus & community clean-ups, external service programs

  • Individual and ad-hoc volunteering: e.g., bench cleaning and other personal initiatives

  • Community-building within the Corps: Workshops, MT (membership training), small group activities

3. Benefits

  • Priority selection for international volunteer programs

  • ELP points (20 points for 20+ volunteer hours, 30 points for 30+ hours)

  • Certificate of completion upon fulfilling requirements

  • Volunteer record officially listed in academic transcript

  • Caritas Volunteer Talent Scholarship for outstanding members (conditions apply)

  • Uniform provided / Support for general meeting dinners & MT expenses

  • Use of the club room


4. Requirements

  • Completion possible only after 2+ semesters of activity

  • Each semester, members must:


    • Participate in at least 2 group volunteer events

    • Complete 28+ hours of individual volunteering (waived for new members in their first semester)

    • Take part in one regular weekly/monthly volunteer program (counts toward individual hours)

    • Attend general assemblies, workshops, and the annual briquette service


5. Recruitment Process

  1. Application submission

  2. Face-to-face interview

  3. Final acceptance (notified individually)

6. Schedule

  • Application period: Aug 25, 2025 (Mon) – Sep 5, 2025 (Fri), 23:59

  • Document screening results: Sep 8, 2025 (Mon)

  • Interviews: Sep 10 (Wed) – Sep 12 (Fri), 2025 (details will be given individually)

  • Final acceptance: Sep 15, 2025 (Mon)

  • 19th Cohort Opening General Meeting: Sep 17, 2025 (Wed), 18:00

※ Results will be announced individually (no notice on official website).


7. Application Method

  • Submit the following by email:


    • Application form (required)

    • Portfolio (optional, for student council applicants)

  • Convert the completed application form (HWP format) to PDF and submit by email.

  • Applications not following the correct format (form, filename, PDF conversion) will not be accepted.
