2025 May 18 Scholarship for Hope – Call for Applications
 Inheriting the spirit of the May 18 Democratization Movement, supporting the dreams and hopes of future generations

• Application Period: July 18 (Fri) – July 22 (Tue), 2025
  
  

Eligibility:
 Currently enrolled university students (including 4-year and 2/3-year college students, no restrictions on major or location) who meet at least one of the following conditions:

1. Child of a democratization movement participant or national merit recipient
   
   

2. Actively involved in promoting the values of the May 18 Democratization Movement (democracy, human rights, peace)
      (e.g., related academic research, student clubs, volunteer activities, etc. Evidence required)
   
   

Number of Recipients & Scholarship Amount:

• 20 students will be selected
  
  

• Each recipient will receive 1 million KRW (living expense scholarship)
  
  

Timeline:

• Application Submission: July 18–22, 2025
  
  

• Application Review: July 2025
  
  

• Final Selection: July 30 (Wed), 2025
  
  

• Award Ceremony: August 16 (Sat), 2025
  
  

• Fund Disbursement: Scheduled for August–September 2025

• All application documents must be submitted via email only (no postal or in-person submissions)
  
  

• Refer to the official announcement for the list of required documents
  
  

• Submit all files in either PDF or HWP format as one compressed file
     (Each file must be named clearly, e.g., “Name_DocumentName”)
