[Academic Affairs Services Team] 2025 2nd Semester Credit Exchange Program with Yeungnam University Guide

The Catholic University of Korea and Yeungnam University operate a credit exchange program under a mutual agreement. Please refer to the following information for application procedures and eligibility.

1st Submission Deadline: By July 17, 2025 (Thu), 17:00
 2nd Submission Deadline: By September 5, 2025 (Fri), 17:00 (only for those who completed the 1st submission)
 Submission Location: Academic Affairs Services Team, Room 104, Michael Hall (Administration), 09:00–17:00 (excluding lunch break 12:00–13:00)

Eligibility:

  1. Undergraduate students who have completed at least 4 semesters (graduating students or those enrolled beyond their 8th semester are not eligible)

  2. Transfer students must have completed at least one semester at CUK

  3. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.5 scale) up to the previous semester

Application Procedure:

  1. Go to Trinity → Academic Info → Courses/Grades → Courses → Apply for Domestic Credit Exchange (Korea Univ., Sookmyung Univ., Yeungnam Univ., Sungkonghoe Univ.)

  2. After submitting the application online, print it out, get stamps from your major advisor and department chair, and submit it in person to the Academic Affairs Services Team

  • Required Documents: (1st) Credit Exchange Application Form / (2nd) Credit Recognition Application Form

Selection:

  1. Within the exchange quota, students will be selected by the Dean of Academic Affairs and approved by the President

  2. Priority is given based on GPA. In case of a tie, total earned credits and number of semesters completed will be considered

Exchange Quota: Up to 2% of the department’s enrollment capacity

Study Period:

  • Regular semester: Up to 2 semesters during enrollment

  • Summer/Winter sessions: No limit

Course Enrollment:

  • May choose from any courses offered by Yeungnam University (excluding teacher training and certificate-related courses)

  • Cannot retake a course already completed at CUK through exchange

  • Retaking CUK courses must be done at CUK only

Credit Limits:

  • Regular semester: Up to 19 credits (can add 3 credits at CUK if GPA is 4.0 or above)

  • Summer/Winter: Up to 6 credits

  • Total exchange credit limit during enrollment: 38 credits

Grade Evaluation & Credit Recognition:

  • Credits earned will appear on the CUK transcript as equivalent courses

  • Grades are recognized as-is from Yeungnam University

  • A maximum of half of total graduation credits can be fulfilled via domestic/overseas exchange programs

Course Registration & Change: Refer to Yeungnam University’s credit exchange guide

Tuition: Paid to CUK only (no separate tuition to Yeungnam University)

Facilities Use: Refer to Yeungnam University’s credit exchange guide

Course Schedule:

  • Class Period: September 1 (Mon) – December 19 (Fri), 2025

  • Course List Available: July 7 (Mon), 17:00

  • 1st Submission: Application for Credit Exchange (via Trinity)

  • 2nd Submission: Credit Recognition Application (after course registration is confirmed)

Credit Recognition Application Procedure:

  1. Submit Credit Recognition Application (2nd submission)

  2. Deadline: September 5, 2025 (Fri), 17:00

  3. Input credit recognition details in Trinity (upload syllabus from host university) → print → get department chair’s stamp → submit to Academic Affairs Services Team

Important Notes:

  • Make sure there are no discrepancies between actual registered courses at Yeungnam University and the submitted recognition application

  • To cancel the exchange, submit a cancellation request via Trinity and inform both CUK and the host university

  • Delayed grade transfers due to host university’s schedule may affect scholarships, dormitory selection, or graduation—please plan accordingly

Additional Notes:

  • Submission of the signed application is required in person before the deadline. Online application without in-person submission will be automatically canceled
