[Academic Affairs Services Team] Application Guide for Interuniversity Credit Exchange in Seoul and Gyeonggi&Incheon Area for Fall Semester 2025

Students are invited to apply for the interuniversity credit exchange program with universities in the Seoul and Gyeonggi&Incheon areas for the Fall Semester of 2025. Please refer to the instructions below and complete the application and document submission process before the respective university deadlines.
※ After applying via Trinity, be sure to visit the Academic Affairs Services Team office and submit the required documents.
※ Submission Office: Academic Affairs Services Team (Michael Hall H104)
※ Office Hours: 09:00–17:00 (Lunch Break: 12:00–13:00)
※ Please read the attached documents on the credit recognition system and the credit exchange application instructions carefully.
1. Eligibility
Students who have completed at least one academic year
Students with no disciplinary records
Students not in their final semester (students in their 8th semester or expected to graduate are ineligible)
Some universities require a GPA of 3.0 or higher (check details on Trinity)
2. Credit Limits
Up to 21 credits total can be earned through credit exchange toward graduation
Regular Semester: Up to 6 credits per semester
Seasonal Semester: Up to 6 credits (includes all courses taken in seasonal sessions, language training, or exchange programs)
Courses retaken due to grades of C+ or lower at CU cannot be taken through credit exchange (must be retaken at CU)
3. Tuition Payment
Regular Semester: Full tuition is paid to CU (no additional payment to host university)
Seasonal Semester: Students pay tuition directly to the host university
4-1. Application Procedure
① Log into Trinity → Academic Info → Classes/Grades → Classes → Domestic Credit Exchange Application (Seoul, Gyeonggi Area)
② Select host university → Click “Apply” → Fill in credit recognition details and upload the syllabus
③ Click “Apply/Save” → Print application form
④ Visit your department office to obtain signature/stamp → Submit application and syllabus to Academic Affairs Services Team (at least 3 days before deadline)
4-2. Application During Summer Office Closure (Aug 4–Aug 8)
Applicable only for universities whose deadlines fall between Aug 6 (Wed) and Aug 12 (Tue)
Send required documents via email in advance to the contact listed in section 6
Visit in person and complete submission by Aug 13 (Wed) 16:00
Send recommendation form via email at least 3 days before the deadline
4-3. Course Registration Method
Refer to host university guidelines:
① Self-registration: Log into the host university system and register on the designated date
② Automatic registration: Host university registers courses based on requested syllabus
4-4. Course List Inquiry
Refer to the host university website or attached document
4-5. Cancellation or Change After Selection
If canceling participation, submit a cancellation form via Trinity and notify both the host university and CU
For any changes (course change, partial withdrawal), notify the Academic Affairs Services Team
※ Failure to notify may result in tuition forfeiture, F grades, or disqualification from future exchanges
5. Important Notes
Delays in grade reporting from host universities may affect scholarships, dormitory selection, or graduation
You must complete the following steps by 3 days before the deadline:
① Apply and print via Trinity → ② Obtain department signature → ③ Submit to Academic Affairs Services TeamUniversities with unspecified deadlines will be updated upon receipt of official documents
External credits (including credit exchange, exchange programs, internships) are recognized only up to half of the required graduation credits (for transfer students, same rule applies post-admission)
