The “2020 Semester Opening Mass” was held in the school conference room on the morning of the 4th with the participation of the students, professors, employees, and the priest organization on campus. President's sermon in the opening mass ▶

In his sermon, President Fr. Luke Jongchul Won, Ed.D., said, “God knows best. He always has a deeper meaning,” and added, “The more difficult the situation is, the more patient you can find yourself and hold onto your joy and hope when you trust God.”

At the end of the Mass, President Fr. Luke Jongchul Won Ed.D. introduced a new faculty member and a new school district leader. In addition, he also introduced this semester’s plan for the university’s educational environment improvement project that was conducted to improve the quality of classes and improve student welfare. It includes a single-person studio, the Start-up Lounge, the CUK Dream Lounge, and partition installations in laboratories and restaurants.

This Mass was organized in a variety of ways, including Jean Sibelius' "Violin Concerto" performed directly on the violin and piano, and lectures based on various photographic materials. Wonchan Lee (Information, Communication & Electronics Engineering ‘18), the student who attended the opening Mass, said, "It was a good opportunity to attend the Mass conducted by the President himself, and it strengthened my school spirit.”
