On November 6 (Thu), Park Hyun-jae (Department of Artificial Intelligence) from The Catholic University of Korea won the Grand Prize at “K Intelligence Hackathon 2025,” hosted by KT and operated by Dacon. The hackathon was designed to discover creative ideas that utilize Korean-style AI to support daily life and work.

Competing in Track 2 (individual category), Park Hyun-jae won the Grand Prize with the project “RAG: History – AI-Powered History Education.” The project was highly evaluated for its use of a RAG-based AI chatbot to reduce disparities in history education and provide learners with a personalized historical learning experience.

Park Hyun-jae stated, “I began with the question, ‘If I were a KT employee, what kind of project would I need the most?’” and added, “I aimed to develop something that could be applied immediately in the field and carry social value.”
