Dear students of The Catholic University of Korea,
The Center for Teaching & Learning will offer a special lecture on Introductory Calculus as part of the 2025 Academic Year Basic Academic Competency Enhancement Program.
This program is designed for students in elective major pathways, interdisciplinary transitions (Humanities ↔ Sciences), or those who have transferred majors, and aims to help build a solid foundation in essential mathematical concepts for success in natural sciences and engineering.
1. Schedule & Venue
Dates: July 21 (Mon) – July 31 (Thu), 2025
8 sessions (3 hours each) / 10:00 – 13:00Format: In-person (Nicholls Hall N209) or online (via ZOOM) – select one
Instructor: Professor Ahn Won-joo (Department of Mathematics)
Tuition: Free of charge

Application Period: June 27 (Fri) – July 17 (Thu), 2025
Target: Currently enrolled undergraduate students (max. 45 students)

4. Participation Benefits
ELP Points: 2 points per session (up to 10 points per semester for CTL programs)
5. Important Notes
Attendance at all 8 sessions is mandatory
Once selected, the chosen format (in-person/online) cannot be changed
Unexcused absences may restrict participation in future CTL programs
Satisfaction survey will be conducted after the final session
Unauthorized recording or distribution of the lecture is strictly prohibited
