On August 24, the university and the Gunpo SE Maeul Hub signed the “MOU for the Innovation of Local Community and the Expansion of Social Values” to foster social-economic growth in the local communities.

  At the signing ceremony, the university and the hub committed to cooperate on: the vitalization of raising social economy talents, the management of consultations and research on the ways to strengthen the social economy ecosystem, the search for collaborative opportunities to contribute to the local communities and to energize the social economy, and the expansion of social-economic awareness and spread of values.

  As its first step, the university decided to create a course to raise core talents that will play an important role in the social economy fields. Starting this coming Fall semester of 2021, the university will hold the course “The Capstone Design: Social Business Consulting.” This specialized consulting course is designed for social-economic businesses.  In this new course, students will be able to work together with consultants whose expertises are in social economy to establish business strategies, pave a new way, and develop new businesses. They will work hand in hand with experts to solve current problems social-economic businesses face and seek ways for growth.
