At the “1st Undergraduate Accounting Case Competition” hosted by the Korean Accounting Association on June 22nd, the accounting students at our university received the “Korean Accounting Association President’s Award”, “Korea Exchange Chairman’s Award”, and the participation award.

  The Korean Accounting Association held the 1st Undergraduate Accounting Case Competition this year to raise the younger generation’s interest in corporate and public sector accounting.

CUK Department of Accounting △Stand up team (Hong Hyeon-ju and Lee Ye-seul) won the Korean Accounting Association President’s Award for their case thesis, 『Analysis of ‘Ottogi’ case from ESG perspective-analysis of Ottogi’s corporate governance』, and △Tough accounting team (Jo Yoo-seon, Shim Eun-ji, Yoo Seon-ju, and Jeong Hae-in) won the Korea Exchange Chairman’s Award for their thesis, 『The effect of short stock selling on share prices: the background of corporate financial characteristics』. △Let’s go team (Oh Suk-jin, Lee Hye-hyeon, Park Eun-sunk, and Jo Seong-ho) won the Participation award for 『Accounting analysis of Dunamu Inc.』.

The students who won the prizes in this competition submitted examples of the team projects they developed while taking the “Accounting Capstone Design” and “Corporate Governance” courses developed by the Department of Accounting and exhibited the results in the competition.
