In last April, CUK Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation (Songsim/Songeui) was selected for “2021 University Technology Management Promotion Project” run by Commercializations Promotion Agency for R&D Outcomes to receive 1.5 billion won for three years.

The University Technology Management Promotion Project promotes building an industry-university cooperation ecosystem by encouraging technology transfer and commercialization based on public technology owned by universities and helping companies to set up laboratories. 

CUK Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation will provide various strategic support such as ▲Pin-pointing promising technology and fast-track marketing ▲A to Z support for early patent consulting program (VIP)-based technology transfer, and ▲Production of diversified technology introduction materials. It is also working hard to create new jobs by strengthening the entrepreneurial skills of university and graduate students by utilizing the startup support organization in Songsim Campus.

College of Medicine Prof. Shin Soo Jun, the Head of Industry-University Cooperation Foundation, said, “As this project is a major one to support the university’s TLO (Technology Licensing Organization), it is quite exciting that we succeeded in winning the project on our own rather than participating in the consortium. We highly anticipate that it will serve as a facilitator for technology transfer and improving commercialization performance.”
